The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Japanese-speaking Developer Advocate to own the technical relationship with the clients building on our trading API. You’ll be the person our Japanese partners talk to when they integrate, the one who shows them what’s possible, and the one who turns their friction into better tooling, docs, and APIs.
This is a hands-on engineering role, not an account-management one. You’ll spend your days writing code against our own API — sample apps, SDKs, LLM plugins & skills, and reference integrations — and building AI-powered tools that make our processes (onboarding, support, docs, monitoring) faster and smarter. When a client hits a wall, you’re the one who can read their code, reproduce the issue, and ship a fix or a workaround.
This is a remote role, open anywhere in Europe, full-time or part-time.
What You’ll Do
- Own the developer relationship: Be the primary technical contact for clients consuming our trading API — onboarding, integration support, and everything in between, in Japanese.
- Build with the API: Write sample apps, SDKs, and reference integrations that show clients the best way to build on our products.
- Ship AI tooling: Build AI-powered tools that create and optimize our processes — from triaging client issues to generating docs and automating repetitive integration work.
- Close the loop with Product & Engineering: Turn client friction into concrete API improvements, and feed real-world usage back into the roadmap.
- Make the docs great: Own developer-facing documentation and examples so clients can self-serve long before they need to email you.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- Native / near-native Japanese: You run technical conversations, calls, and written support with Japanese clients with zero friction.
- You’re a developer: Real, hands-on engineering experience — you read and write production code comfortably and can build against an API without hand-holding.
- Trading product knowledge: Practical understanding of trading products — FX, options, CFDs, and their derivatives — and the kinds of clients who build on them.
- Proven developer-advocate experience: A track record in a DevRel, developer-advocate, or solutions-engineering role for an API-based product.
- AI fluency: You already build with AI tools and can ship AI-powered tooling — not just talk about it.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with real-time, low-latency APIs (WebSockets, SSE, streaming).
- Familiarity with our API stack: .NET, REST and streaming APIs (Lightstreamer).
- Existing relationships in the Japanese trading or fintech developer community.
- English strong enough to work day-to-day with a Europe-based team.
